February 2019 – The Call for a RIS Task partner is open!
We would like to inform about a call for a RIS Task partner in the project RIS ALiCE-Al-rich industrial residues for mineral binders in ESEE
The EIT Raw Materials activities address the objectives and key principles of the EIT RIS concept to provide access to activities and services of the KIC to those who might not otherwise have this access. The activities will thus also raise the awareness of the RIS regions and countries towards EIT Raw Materials, but primarily will have a significant impact on these regions and countries itself by fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
The aim of “RIS ALiCE” is to create a network of relevant stakeholders, in the area of currently unused Al rich industrial residues and contribute to the increased innovation potential and competitiveness of the ESEE region by creating a network among the producers of currently unused Al-rich industrial residues and mineral end users of these wastes. The ALiCE project aims to collect and valorise these Al-rich residues in the targeted RIS countries with respect to their use in mineral binder and create a user friendly easy upgradable registry to link Al waste producers and mineral end user.
Non-KIC member organisations in RIS countries can be involved as Third Parties (so called „RIS Task partners“) in RIS projects. The Hungarian RIS Task partner in RIS ALiCE may be any SME from Hungary with experience in the field of raw materials fulfilling at least one of the criteria below:
- Owner/producer/holder of Al-rich residues
- Assess to at least one of the following Al-rich residues: red mud, Al-rich residues of steel industry (EAF C slag, EAF S slag) coal ash from thermal plants, Al-rich mine waste, Al-rich industrial waste.
- Existing connection of Al-rich residue producers and cement plants in Hungary
The call was announced on 28th of February, 2019 and applications (RIS Task Partners Application Form) must be submitted to alexandra.nemeth@bayzoltan.hu by 21th of March, 2019, 12:00 CET.
