Good bloggers today reach many thousands of people with their contributions. This shows the huge potential concerning awareness creation among consumers.
From dog blogs to food blogs to blogs on furniture and fashion – but what is out there about food waste?
STREFOWA proudly presents the #reducefoodwaste blogger award 2017
Food waste is one of the big challenges of our time – and the main concern of STREFOWA. STREFOWA is looking at strategies to reduce food waste and how to prevent it in all levels in Central Europe by testing strategies, finding strategies and promoting successful strategies across borders. Bloggers with their ability to reach especially young people play an important role to raise awareness for food waste and to show how to prevent food waste.
We invite all bloggers in Central Europe to submit their best article on food waste prevention – already long time published or still in their head and ready to publish within the submission time.
All submitted articles will be presented online and will take part in the jury- and online voting in November 2017.
Incentive – Transnational Blogger Meeting in Vienna on December 15th
The 3 winners of this award will be invited to join the Transnational Blogger Meeting on food waste prevention taking place in Vienna on December 15th to present their blog. Their invitation includes travel expenses and two overnight stays in Vienna. At the Transnational Blogger Meeting they will meet the interesting jury and visit start-ups that reduce food waste.

Factbox STREFOWA
STREFOWA (Strategies to Reduce and Manage Food Waste in Central Europe) is a three-year project in Central Europe to find and design new ideas dealing with food waste. Our aim is to reduce food waste or to treat it in a better and more useful way. We are 9 partners from 5 different countries – Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Italy.
